19/09/2007 To celebrate the launch of SKATE, we have recreated seven iconic skate spots from San Francisco and Barcelona and placed them in skate parks across the country.
Each object has a trick challenge set against it and laid down by a UK pro, in both the game and real life. If you can nail the trick or one up it, you and a mate could be on your way to skate that city for real.
Take on a SKATE Trick Challenge
Entering is easy, just follows these four steps:
1. watch a Trick Challenge video
2. go to that skate park and get a mate to record you doing the trick
3. upload it onto our new SKATE website on the spot page for the park you were at - title the clip Skate Trick Challenge and in the description describe what you do. You can search for the park you skated on the browse spots page.
4. be judged the best by Andy Horsly from Sidewalk Magazine and Niall Neeson from Kingpin Magazine and you win.
Each winner will be able to skate the city behind their SKATE Trick Challenge for real as we fly them to either Barcelona or San Francisco. We've also got runners-up prizes of PLAYSTATION 3's and copies of the game so its well worth a visit to one of the parks.
